What is a screensaver?
A screensaver is a program that runs after a specific amount of time with no
user interaction. The common setting is 15 minutes and then Windows
automatically runs the screensaver chosen in the screensaver properties window.

The screensaver software then displays pictures on the screen until the user
again interacts with the computer, by moving the mouse or by hitting a key on
the keyboard.

Why are screensavers made?
The reason screensavers were made back in the days were because of the screens
of that time would imprint the contents of the screen permanently if it stood
still for too long. This is known as a "phosphor burn". Today the screens have
matured and won't be damaged by displaying the same image for long periods of
time, so the screensavers of today are just for personal leisure and for some
just a personalization of their computer.

How to get screensavers
There are a coule ways to get screensavers and one of them is by searching
screensaver directories (found on google) and check out their collections, and
another one is to make one yourself. The latter is not that difficult, but it is
a possibility to make one yourself if you just can't find a screensaver that you
like.

Otherwise you can check out sites like http://www.cepo.dk and other directories
which contains hundreds of screensavers that you can download for free and use
as you wish.

Whatever your choice is I wish you good luck with your screensaver hunt! :-)
